Improving Our Patience – a Half-day Meditation Course

Improving Our Patience – a half-day meditation course takes place on Saturday 7 July, 10:30am-1:30pm with Buddhist teacher Martin Allingham at Ganden Buddhist Centre, 5 North Bridge, Halifax  HX1 1XH.

Sometimes, we feel that things in our life are just going wrong. We encounter difficult situations, we can’t control them, and we feel that the situation itself is the problem. As a result, our state of mind is precarious, always at the mercy of the next thing that happens.

How can we change this without just swallowing our feelings of frustration and anger? Buddha taught practical methods to practise true patience – a way to accept whatever happens without becoming unhappy and without repressing our feelings. By using these methods we will develop a deep inner peace that cannot be disturbed by changing conditions.

We can still fix things that break and work to change the world for the better, but we will be able to do so from place of peace rather than agitation. Come and learn how empowering and liberating it is to practice true patience!

Tickets at £12 are available through Eventbrite.
