Tree Planting at Beechwood Park

Members of the Friends of Beechwood Park group together with other park volunteers and staff from Calderdale MBC and North Halifax Partnership spent an enjoyable few hours planting saplings in Beechwood Park. There are a lot of fantastic residents who give up their time to do litter picking, dredging the pond and keeping the park clean and tidy. If this is something you would like to get involved with and want further information please contact Tony King on 0300 555 0266 or email him on tony.king@calderdale.gov.uk

If you use the park you will have noticed that improvements have been made to footpaths in the park, new steps have been installed, new benches also installed and repairs to the footbridge just below the pond. This work was carried out by the councils gardening team (who do a great job keeping your park in good order) but paid for through funds raised by the friends of Beechwood Park group.

If you are in the park and see any issues such as damage, flytipping, off road motor bikes please don’t hesitate to report it to the council or the police.
