World Parkinson’s Day – Wednesday 11 April

Millions of people around the world are living with Parkinson’s. But does the rest of the world know what Parkinson’s is?

Join the global Parkinson’s community on World Parkinson’s Day, Wednesday 11 April 2018, to show people what Parkinson’s truly is.

On World Parkinson’s Day, Halifax Town Hall is hosting a coffee morning 10:30am-2:00pm. Why not call in for a coffee and sample some of our delicious cakes?

The coffee morning will be opened by the Mayor of Calderdale , Ferman Ali.

There will also be a ‘singathon’, with a number of choirs singing.

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition. This means that it causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time.

There’s currently no cure for Parkinson’s and we don’t yet know why people get the condition.

But there are lots of different treatments, therapies and support available to help you manage the condition.
