This year’s theme set by the World Federation for Mental Health is mental health in the workplace.
The WFMA say they want;
“… a global consensus to support mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, one that makes it easier for people with mental health conditions to seek help in and out of the workplace, with an environment that fosters good employment practices with regard to mental health.”
They are asking employers to sign a pledge around appreciating employees, creating supportive environments, stress management and lots more. You can find out more on the WFMA website.
You can find more about World Mental Health Day in the UK on the Mental Health Foundation website.
It’s an important anniversary for mental health in Leeds too: MindWell is one year old on 10 October. Happy Birthday MindWell!
Forum Central is keen join in by promoting all the wonderful things that Leeds is doing for World Mental Health Day.
The MindWell team and members of Forum Central will be hosting a stall and wellbeing space at Leeds Markets on World Mental Health Day, Tuesday 10 October, 10am-4pm.
Is your organisation planning an event for that week? Will you be running something that you want other organisations to come and promote their services at? Can we help get the word out about what you’ll be doing?
