Halifax RUFC‘s men will look to put all their hard work during pre-season into practice when they tackle Heath on Thursday August 24. The match, which kicks off at 7pm at Heath RUFC, will be the first game under the new coaching team of Gaz Matthews, Matt Bradley, Phil Gallagher and Dean Cotton.
The quartet have drilled the Halifax squad hard since the start of July – with the players responding brilliantly to the challenges.
Training numbers have remained good throughout, with the clash against Heath a big step towards the club’s challenges in Yorkshire Four (NW) and the Merit League.
The match will be split over four 20-minute quarters, with Halifax set to give all available players a chance to shine ahead of the new season.
All support is welcome, although our wonderful Ladies will be continuing their own preparations for the new season at Ovenden Park with training.
