Innovations Children’s Centre is a purpose built building based in the grounds of Dean Field Community Primary School in Ovenden. The centre is easily accessible from Cousin Lane and has good transport links with a regular bus service to and from Halifax.
They have nursery places available from September 2017 . The large day care centre has places for 18 toddlers from 18 months to over 2 years before they move to the pre-school room with space for 28 children up to 4 years.
Their staffing ratios for each section are excellent but the best way to get ‘the feel of the place’ is to book to look around by calling at reception or phoning 01422 248222
Innovations has been offering day care, services and training from May 2004, when it was officially opened by former local MP Alice Mahon. The centre supports the local community and their families through providing childcare, early education, health services and training opportunities.
Innovations was inspected in January 2017 and were delighted to be awarded judgements of ‘outstanding’ in all areas. Click here to view the report https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/inspection-reports/find-inspection-report/provider/CARE/EY382695
Innovations believe that each child should be given an opportunity for the best start in life and families are supported on any life changing journeys they take. They strive to make family life a positive and enjoyable experience.
The team at Innovations have a good understanding of services available in the North and East Halifax area and are able to confidently signpost to services and support families to do this.
Families, carers and visitors who use the centre are regularly consulted about services on offer at the centre and are involved in decisions to take the centre forward and develop it for the future.
