‘Early Bird’ Discount on VAC’s Data Protection Course

VAC are currently offering a 50% discount on their Data Protection course which is running on Monday 16 October 9:30 – 16:30 at the VAC offices in Halifax.

In December 2015, the long process of agreeing a new set of legislation designed to reform the legal framework for ensuring the rights of European Union (EU) citizens to a private life was completed. This was ratified in early 2016.The reforms are captured within the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The GDPR will apply in the UK from 25th May 2018 at which time those organisations in non-compliance will face heavy fines. The government has confirmed that the UK’s decision to leave the EU will not affect the commencement of the GDPR.

If you are currently subject to the Data Protection Act, it is likely that you will also be subject to the GDPR.

The GDPR was designed to harmonise data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organisations across the region approach data privacy.

Our one day Data Protection session will cover everything you and your organisation needs to know about how to prepare for the implementation of the GDPR.

This session provides a stimulating and lively introduction to the topic and will equip you to return to your workplace with ideas for improving and developing existing data protection policies and procedures.

The charge for the course varies according to what type of organisation you are but by entering the code ‘EARLYBIRD’ when booking, the 50% discount can be applied.
