Sparks 2017 for 5-11 year olds at Holy Nativity Church

During the summer Holy Nativity Church of Mixenden and Illingworth runs ‘Sparks’, a series of fun days for 5-11 year olds. Last year the church was transformed as 30 children went to sing, dance, play and have fun doing arts and crafts before having lunch. For £2 each week your child can spend three mornings doing all of this and get their lunch as well!!

One of the highlights of the summer last year was clay modelling. Whilst looking at Noah building a giant Ark, little fingers shaped and moulded clay to form model animals ornaments. The following week tiny brushes applied vivid colours and transformed the uniform grey shapes into animals that now take pride of place in countless homes around Mixenden and Illingworth. Who knows what fun they’ll will be having this year!!

Children must be aged between 5 and 11 years old to take part in the days. Each of the days will be four hours from 9am until 1pm. They will also have lunch before they are picked up! The dates are Wednesdays mornings on August 9, 16 and 23. The cost for the activity days will be £2 per child per week which can be paid on the day itself. We hope you will be committed to all four weeks as places for children are limited.

If you know you are coming in advance, please let the church know as soon as possible so that we know how many to cater for and how many to buy materials for. All children must be registered and consent forms filled in by a legal guardian. Please drop your child off at Holy Nativity Church at 9am on the day and pick them up again at 12:50-1pm.

You can contact the church by filling in the form at http://holynativity.co.uk/contact-us/ or by calling 01422 353929
