Shabnam Khan, along with her husband Qamar runs the Halifax Centre for Learning and those who know her say that her passion for education and supporting young people reach their full potential is apparent.
The active mum who lives with her husband Qamar and three young children works to support the young people of Halifax in meeting their potential.
Founded by Shabnam and her husband, the centre was officially opened back in 2011 with the vision of providing a centre in the heart of Halifax, and almost 5 years later the centre is still going strong, offering learning opportunities to all members of the community as well as tuition, support and guidance to students of all ages whilst enabling them to fulfil and exceed their potential.
Many of the young people who have attended Halifax Centre for learning over the years have now progressed to university which is down to the hard work and determination of Shabnam and her husband.
