North Halifax Star 2017: Contribution to the Older Generation – WINNER ANNOUNCED!

WINNER: Eddie Moss

Eddie Moss has spearheaded the Phoenix Shed ‘A place where men are reborn’.

The Phoenix Shed, mens shed based at Threeways continues to grow from strength to strength with new members and new activities all the time.

Eddie is determined to make a difference to the lives of older men in the area and offers a place where they can go and be creative.

A shed is many things to many men but The Phoenix Shed caters for everyone and has so much to offer, including friendship.

The Phoenix Shed also has a marvellous social area with comfortable seating and a fully fitted kitchen which is great if you just want to come for a drink and a natter, or do whatever you want to do.

Eddie and the Phoenix Shed have been involved with all sorts of projects including making flat packed bird boxes which were then distributed to local school junior warden schemes for the young people to build which can now be found in the trees around both Shroggs and Beechwood Parks.

If the shed is something you might like to get involved in then find out more at https://halifaxnorthandeast.com/2016/03/30/the-phoenix-shed-is-now-open/
