In response to the build-up of litter, broken bottles and general rubbish on the entrance road up to the Roils Head Moor from the turning circle at the top of Rye Lane, members of the friends of Roils Head Group, together with the North East Halifax ward coordinator Tony King and local Councillors worked together to remove the rubbish and litter.
The group started at 10am and after 35 minutes 20 large bin liners had been filled.
2 carpets, old fire extinguishers, tyres and a car grill had been removed from the area, there were also signs of flytipping in the area with piles of building rubble and burnt out sofas, this will be passed on to the councils environmental services.
If you see any flytipping and want to report it please contact customer first on 01422 288001 or email@example.com
If you would like to become a member of the Friends of Roils Head group please contact Tony King on 01422 255402 firstname.lastname@example.org
