Lifeline Project, with funding from the Armed Forces Covenant, are launching an exciting new project to support military veterans affected by alcohol use, and their families.

As part of the launch there will be an event held on Tuesday 8 November – 3pm to 6pm

The money awarded by The Armed Forces Covenant has enabled MARCH (Military Achieving Recovery and Choosing Health) to be launched. MARCH is a specialist service working across Calderdale, Bradford and Rotherham aiming to reduce alcohol related harm and improve the employability, health and well-being and family relationships of veterans affected by alcohol and offending.

Part of this funding will provide specialist training to services working within the criminal justice system ensuring veterans with alcohol issues and involved in offending behaviour are identified and offered support at the earliest opportunity.

Working in partnership with other agencies, MARCH will offer Veterans a wide range of support including access to diversionary activities, one to one support and group programmes.
