VAC Training – Welcoming people with disabilities into your organisation

This session is aimed at organisations wanting to improve their accessibility for individuals with a disability and will look at how your organisation welcomes and works with disabled people and will use the social model of disability to explore how even small adjustments can make a huge difference.

Wednesday 27 January – 10am to 1pm
At Voluntary Action Calderdale, Hall St, Halifax, HX1 5AY

The session will be interactive and will include some information about ‘a day in the life’ of a Can Do volunteer and by the end of it participants will have:

  • Considered how they might adapt their own organisations to be more welcoming for disabled people.
  • Started to develop a plan to ensure disabled people are really welcome in their organisation.
