Go:walking aims to encourage more people to walk more often and is co-ordinated by West Yorkshire Combined Authority, in partnership with West Yorkshire’s five district councils. It is supported by the Department for Transport through the Local Sustainable Transport Fund and managed by Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking.
The go:walking Small Grants Scheme can provide grants of between £100 – £2,000 for projects that get more people walking, or improve the walking environment for local people in 14 target areas.
You can apply for go:walking’s Small Grants Scheme or Walking Festival Grant if you are a community group, not for profit organisation or school.
The Small Grants application deadline is Friday 4 December 2015.
The Small Grants Walking Festival application deadline is Friday 15 January 2016.
