A blooming new look at Woolshops Shopping Centre

Woolshops plantingOn Wednesday 21 October, Junior Wardens from Dean field Community Primary School, Ovenden, helped Halifax in Bloom and Calderdale Council plant Daffodil bulbs in time for a blooming spring show of yellow at the Woolshops Shopping Centre in Halifax.

The Junior Wardens planted miniature daffodils in the raised flowerbeds on the main pedestrian precinct and also at the side of the shopping centre.

Halifax in Bloom is made up by volunteers from across Calderdale and their aims are to help boost the local economy through increased tourism, and to increase civic pride through local people taking on the planning of long-term improvement in their local environment through planting beautiful sustainable displays.
