Call to Arms for the Halifax Long March

For 50 years, participants of the Halifax Long March have only been able to raise money for Christian Aid alone and it seems that the number of Christian Aid supporters in Calderdale has dropped, putting a drastic threat on the future of the ‘Long March’ which is a 26.2 mile walk which takes place through the night on Easter Sunday.

Committee members have met and come up with a proposal for the way forward regarding the Halifax Long March that will be discussed at the next Annual General Meeting on Monday 28 September 2015 from 7.30pm at Providence United reformed Church, Keighley Road, Ovenden.

The Committee is calling out to all current and past supporters, asking them to go along and have their say about the Future of the Long March.
