Ovenden GP tackles the Leeds Triathalon!

Dr Caroline Taylor of Beechwood Medical Practice is taking part in her first Olympic distance triathlon this Sunday 13 September.

The challenging race includes a 1.5km swim in the lake in Roundhay park followed by a 44km bike ride and a 9km run.

“I have trained hard but am pretty apprehensive about it!

“My motivation on the day is going to be that I am raising some money to help the 5 children whose mum, a single mother and a midwife, died after a short illness from metastatic breast cancer aged 47 last week. They need to raise £65k to be able to stay in the family home.”
