Be Bike Aware is a campaign to raise awareness of each road user’s responsibility to look out for motorcyclists and cyclists.

In Calderdale 1 in 3 road injuries involves a bike.

In 2011 there were 57 motorcyclists and 44 cyclists  injured (43 more than 2010). 80% of these casualties happened during the week at peak commuting times.
